Brainerd School District’s Native American Education Program services are available to American Indian Students who:

  • Are an enrolled member of a Tribe or Band

  • A child of a Tribe or Band member

  • A grandchild of a Tribe or Band member

In order to qualify for our Native American Education Program, students will need to have a 506 form filled out and on file which is held confidentially in our school records. These forms allow our district to obtain more funding for our Native American Education program and allow uis to better serve our Native American Students.

If you have any questions or need assistance completing the 506 form, please do not hesitate to contact:

Native American Parent Advisory Committee

The Native American Parent Advisory Committee is an organized group of parents, students and district staff who meet several times per year in order to discuss the direction and priorities of Native American Education for our school district as well as the services offered within our Native American Education Program.

The parents and students in our program serve as advocates and a valued voice by:

  • sharing the needs, achievements and concerns for students

  • giving guidance on appropriate cultural materials and curriculums used within the school district

  • providing cultural support through events and enrichment classes.

During our meetings we often provide various cultural activities, academic resources and information on upcoming events and services offered within the Native American Education Program.

Food and drinks are provided.

Please join us at our next meeting:
